A few weeks ago I found my camera had developed a purple hue all across the top of the viewing screen (like a windshield which is shaded at the top to reduce glare). The photos had this on also. That meant I got to go buy a new camera. Digital cameras have come a long way in the last three and a bit years since I bought the last one. I like Canon cameras and I was looking for something fairly flexible, but still somewhat compact. I got a Canon Powershot G9 since it seemed to fit those criteria well and my son said he wouldn’t be embarrassed if I got that one. (Earlier in the year he did lots of camera research so he has opinions about which ones to buy)
I’m still figuring out all the options on it. One of the really neat things about it is, it has high ASA choices and image stabilization. So I can take indoor photos without flash like this one I took on Tuesday evening when I went to hear Brian McLaren lecture locally.
