Steve is going to be in London and Paris next week doing training, starting tomorrow (Monday).
His plan was to fly to London on the day flight today – he would have been landing about now (4:30ish Chicago time). However we found out early this morning his flight was cancelled because of the storm which came through this weekend.
According to a CNN/Associate Press report on the storm: “The storm’s snow, sleet and freezing rain led airlines to cancel 200 flights Sunday at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport and about 35 at Midway Airport, said Wendy Abrams, Chicago Department of Aviation spokeswoman.”
So he’s at the airport now waiting to board the first not-cancelled American Airline flight to London today, hoping it will leave and not too late. As it is he will already have to go straight to the office and begin training when he arrives, instead of getting a few hours sleep at a hotel – which was his original and preferred schedule!
Update: his flight finally left 4 1/2 hours late. (At least it wasn’t cancelled)
