Here’s another one I figured out before the rest of my household (although unfortunately not in time to help West give in the right answer on her ‘challenge’ homework!)
A census taker asks a father the ages of his three children. He says “the product of their ages is 36 and the sum is today’s date”. The census taker says “That’s not enough information” so the father adds “The youngest is a boy”. The census taker says “Ok, now I know their ages.”
What are their ages?
Their ages are [edited by Helen].
